So gross and so cool at the same time...I'd actually like to see more of these.

Subliminal Advertising
This may or may not be inappropriate but I found it online the other night and I found it to be pretty pertainant to the discussion of subliminal visual stimuli/extremely hilarious. Enjoy.

The WTF Blanket
Kind of random, but I just saw this video on YouTube and thought it was hilarious. Not sure the techniques they're using are very persuasive! I think our groups' ways of selling the Snuggie were much better. :)

Rico the smart dog
I absolutely loooove howstuffworks.com and there's one article on there about a border collie named Rico who appears to have a vocabulary of 200 words. They performed some tests on him to see if it was actually true. The article also references Clever Hans. Apparently they isolated that variable to show that Rico doesn't pick up on subconscious cues like Clever Hans. Pretty impressive!

Magic Eraser!
Totally unrelated to psychology...
but since we were talking today about how (apparently) amazing the Magic Eraser is, I figured I'd share how to get a free sample of one! I'm still waiting for mine but it's worth a shot! :)

Stories Behind the Muppets
Last week's reading in The Tipping Point talked a little bit about the Muppets and their histories. I saw this article and it expands on it a little bit. I can't imagine an orange Oscar the Grouch!

And here is one of the La Choy commercials that Gladwell was saying Big Bird is based on. The dragon reminds me more of a clumsy Barney than Big Bird!
